Leaders never graduate from the school of self-awareness.
I heard this line in a podcast and found it extremely meaningful. I am reminded that self-awareness is a continual journey, not a destination. In the busyness of our lives, it’s easy to keep doing and sometimes difficult to take a step back to reflect and evaluate.
I invite you take a moment to do so this week.
Dr. Tasha Eurich continues to be a favorite resource of mine when it comes to this topic. I shared some of her info earlier this year: https://hollyadamsconsulting.com/resources-for-increasing-self-awareness/
Here’s another great resource on ways to increase your self-awareness:

- Meditate
- Write down your key plans and priorities
- Take psychometric tests
- Ask trusted friends
- Get regular feedback at work
And I’ll add one more – pull out a previous performance review, 360* feedback form, or psychometric assessment from the last year or two.
Has anything changed?
